I have a unique set of skills in that I have qualified and practiced as a lawyer and worked within a law firm environment for more than 10 years. Within that space I have served on committees with engagement through to Partner and Executive/Board level. I have worked in specialised recruitment for more than five years, including establishing and then managing the South African office for an international headhunting search firm. On a personal note, I come from a family of engineers and I also have a science degree which grants me far better understanding of technical requirements in the energy and infrastructure sectors, though this extends far more broadly than that. Within legal sector recruitment, few in South Africa can claim to have completed the full suite of recruitment experience that I can. This includes:• Assisting an international law firm to launch and establish a new office in South Africa • Moving teams of lawyers from one firm to another• International offshore placements• Enticing all levels of lawyers to take up new career opportunities with my clients (from Partners, Directors, General Counsel through to Associates, Legal Counsel and Knowledge Lawyers).• Placing support and operational roles in law firms such as IT support, Human Resources, Business Development Managers, paralegals and secretaries.
