At this job I bought and sold collectible coins and precious metals. I had to be on top of every market regarding coin values, precious metals, world currencies, and the stock market. I was the manager here and took care of a large quantity of the duties in the store. I managed the inventory, determined prices of goods, kept in touch with other businesses, keep track of our customers, and anything else that needs to be done. I cannot stress enough just how much information I kept track of in this store. I kept track of every ounce of silver or gold, every coin, everything that walks through our door. I also ran our eBay store, where I kept track of the inventory listed on there separately from our store front inventory. Additionally, I kept track of our customers needs and call them whenever a specific coin they were looking for came in.

In this position I evaluated the value of any goods that were brought into the store. I would then give out loans against those items or buy them outright. After that I would determine a price to sell them for or maintain the loans and take interest payments on them. This job taught me a lot about how a business works. At the end of every day we would be required to enter the days numbers into a large ledger and balance the money by hand. This job taught me a lot about the inner workings of a business, how to make money, and how to deal with customers. I was a night shift manager for that last couple years I worked here. Inevitably, broken electronics would be purchased by mistake occasionally. When I first started working here they would simply throw the stuff away and write it off. While I worked here however, I developed the skills necessary to repair most of the broken stuff.
