Approved or assigned and edited virtually all tech policy stories Axios produced, from breaking news alerts to features, shepherding them from inception to final edit.• Edited Login, a widely read daily tech newsletter, plus Codebook, a widely read weekly cybersecurity newsletter.• Managed two-person Washington tech reporting team, as well as managed Axios’ relationship with outside contributor who authored Codebook. Worked with these reporters to set and execute goals.• Owned Axios’ disinformation beat, reporting and writing my own stories on the topic. Also wrote other stories that benefited from my tech policy domain knowledge and longstanding source network, on topics ranging from 5G to antitrust to China.

• Served as second-in-command helping to oversee Politico’s six-reporter tech desk. Assigned, developed and edited stories, and drove most of Politico’s fast-twitch coverage of breaking tech news, working with reporters to quickly turn around stories and news alerts. Ensured stories would serve both policy-insider Politico Pro subscribers and, when applicable, Politico’s more general web audience.• Edited Morning Tech, an influential daily newsletter on tech policy.• Became interim tech editor after the departure of the previous tech editor, leading the team and serving as liaison to Politico sister publication Protocol as that was in its planning stages.

• Served as lead tech and telecom policy reporter for Bloomberg Law (formerly Bloomberg BNA), publishing a mix of scoops and stories that found a unique angle on widely covered news and events.• Edited work of junior colleagues for clarity, content, and writing quality; mentored junior members of team and served as designated manager for team intern.
