I joined Darwin Gray in 2009 as a partner in the Employment and HR team. I advise employers and senior executives on contentious and non-contentious employment law issues and have considerable experience in unfair dismissal, disability discrimination, TUPE, business reorganisation, redundancy, corporate acquisitions and disciplinary procedures.I regularly work on company policies, procedures, employee contracts, service agreements, and advising senior executives on negotiating exits. I am an experienced advocate in employment tribunals and regulatory hearings. I have been described by clients as “One of the most knowledgeable employment lawyers in South Wales” (Legal 500). I have also been praised for my “clear, concise and factual” advice (Chambers).I am also head of Darwin Gray's Sport team, having considerable experience of acting for a number of professional sportspeople and Clubs on employment law issues. I have acted for numerous high-profile rugby union international coaches and players in contract negotiations and disputes. I have been recommended in the Legal 500 for sports related work.I deliver training on employment law topics, often appear as a legal commentator on BBC Radio and am a regular contributor to employment law news. I was the elected South Wales Representative of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) between 2008 and 2012. In 2012, I was elected Treasurer, which I carried out until I stood down in 2014.
