In this role I assisted the manager of client sites managing 12 service delivery managers. I had a team of flexible workers for whom I was responsible. My duties were not limited to;• Devising and using Excel based solutions for leave projection, preparation of quotes et cetera.• Reading and translating; staff Budgets, procedure, the companies own digital packages and policy.• Arranging meetings for staff teleconferences and organising training seminars.• Preparing forms, maintaining the correct and official versions of forms (version control).• Collating and updating general information such as contact details and staff incidents.• Conducting interviews with prospective casual and flexible staff.• Rostering Flexible staff timetables, ensuring their pay is correct.• Overseeing and monitoring projects, for example Auckland City Councils rubbish bag distribution.I left this role to search for a more meaningful and rewarding role, where I am able to help people more. The upshot of leaving was freedom to travel and an opportunity to spend time with my infant son.

In this role I independently organised the mail and couriers for a 300 staff building (Auckland city Environments). I also maintained meeting rooms, coffee machines, resolved peoples building requests for maintenance and prepare reports for the service delivery manager for council sites. The most satisfying part of this job was finding greater efficiency. I received a lot of praise from Auckland Council, including being nominated and awarded a council contribution prize, despite only being a contractor! After only 8 months I was interviewed by Head office for a much more senior position within operations.

In this role my duties were not limited to;• Updating Guest profiles• Dealing with difficult situations and people• Cashiering and responsibility of a float of NZ$1,500.• Delivering customer service excellence, remembering faces turning peoples days around!After long and careful consideration I decided that hospitality was not my calling in life.

In this front line role I reported to the hotel concierge and took care of guest enquires, delivered bags to guest rooms and valet parked cars. I required a upbeat enterprising attitude to give guests that ‘shine’ and give them an experience to take away. After a very enjoyable and active 16 months I took time out to study.
