Software architect of an automation team that is part of next generation drilling automation platform. My day to day responsibilities include, but not limited to, developing key pieces of software infrastructure, mentoring other developers, testing, benchmarking and optimization, along with contributions to AI research. Many of my contributions are forward facing to clients of Schlumberger who are eagerly pursuing to incorporate our software on their drilling platforms.As a software developer I deal with a wide range of technologies. I have written low level code communicating with rig hardware, to back end micro-services, as well as font end user interfaces in both WPF and current web technologies. Not only is a large amount of my work used in production but I have also written numerous tools and applications that are used internally within our team and others throughout the company. The majority of the software I have written is in Javascript, C#, C++, and Go.

Greater Pittsburgh Area

Visiting staff member with the CMU SubT team through a sponsorship with Schlumberger. SubT is a team participating in the DARPA Subterranean Challenge where teams are tasked with the goal of building multiple robots to explore underground cavernous areas for exploration and search and rescue operations. As a fellow team member I worked on the implementation for the robots behavior as well operational software used by operators to communicate with the robots from a remote location. The robots were built on top of the Robotics Operating System (R.O.S) and the various software components were written in C++ and Python.

Nas North Island/Nas Sigonella

Flew over 1,100 flight hours in the C-2A with 99 carrier arrested landings out of Naval Air Station North Island. Served two deployments on the USS Nimitz and USS John C Stennis providing logistics support in the Middle East and the Pacific Rim. From 2008 to 2011 flew over 1,300 hours in the C-26 out of Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily, Italy providing logistics support throughout Europe, North Africa, and the MIddle East.
