As a Donor Relations Officer at CICOA, I play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with donors to support our mission and initiatives. I cultivate relationships with existing and potential donors, ensuring a positive and meaningful engagement experience. I also collaborate with the fundraising team to plan and execute effective campaigns to support the mission and programs of CICOA.

I oversee a set of services to help make homes safer for those at risk of falling. We assess current areas of high fall risk, provide education to reduce falls and modify homes through hand rails, banisters, grab bars, etc to make the environment safer. With one out of every 3 older adults (those 65 and older) falling every year and falls being the leading cause of nonlethal injuries according to the CDC. Preventing falls lead to a greater sense of security and quality of life for those we serve.• Secure funding through grants, sponsors and government sources• Assessing needs and developing written construction specifications• Coordinating and procuring bids from contractors• Serve as Project Manager between client and contractors• Prepare specifications to be used as standards by the project team that will include the client, Case Manager, family, contractor and other vendors• Continuously monitor projects to ensure timely completion and program compliance• Providing oversight for all aspects of applicable construction projects• Manage budgets and report out results to funders and Board of Directors

CICOA helps more than 3,000 older persons and those with disabilities live with a greater possibility of independence every year. We provide more that a half million meals each year to homes and meal sites in the Central Indiana area. Responsible for all Prevent Blindness Indiana programs related to vision screening services, financial assistance programs, certification training and volunteer development. We have screened the vision of over 10,000 individuals and provided eye exams and glasses to more than 1000 low- income Hoosiers in 2011. I created a vibrant volunteer program which has grown from one to twenty-four volunteers over the past six months.

I taught English to university students and business professionals in Mersin Turkey. With an ESL Certification, I taught all levels of English along with some lessons in American culture.

Develop and copy-edit courseware materials and documents to be used in information technology classes. My classes include: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, XHTML, and CSS. I am highly proficient with MS Office, Macromedia web development software, XHTML, and Desktop Publishing.
