About Dan A.
I started my path in the Network Operations Center as a Level I tech. Over the years, I moved through the ranks and eventually started and lead the Level III group for MegaPath/GTT. After graduating with my Computer Science degree, I decided to study, take and pass the CISSP. At that point, my path diverged to Network Security Engineer. I then helped start a company called StratoZen a MSSP. Over the years, I continued to learn and lead a team of security engineers and started to see a shift in focus towards artificial intelligence and machine learning in the cybersecurity field. In 2017, I accepted a position at IPsoft as a Cognitive Solutions Architect. Although I was part of the sales organization, it was a technical role and enabled me to learn and get a good understanding of what problems organizations were trying to solve and how I could implement machine learning to augment and improve their current solutions. During Covid I was laid off, and started a position at DFPS as a Cyber Security Analyst III. I am now leading a team of Analyst as the Security Operations Center Manager.
