As part of my role at Newcastle Delivery Unit, I'm exposed to many areas of the business and this has helped me broaden my knowledge and gave me a deeper understanding of the industry.Below are some of the elements that I currently undertake in my role.Coordination of the LEAN process in the DU to mitigate risk, reduce waste and improve productivity and performance by changing behaviours and processes. Taking on the responsibilities of the Performance and Assurance Engineer including the management, tracking and reporting of Self Assurance, non-compliance and Temporary Variances.Monitor and report on a programme of assurance, staff surveillance, work quality and asset condition checks, in addition, to producing periodic reports and trend analysis to make recommendations to issues that require action and change.Charing of the Daily Performance Conference to enable problem solving and better understanding of the asset. This interfaces with iPAT and various performance improvement initiatives as we look to deliver safety and performance benefits to the customer.Involved in the collation and management of actions from After Action Reviews to attain performance improvements.Point of contact for TRUST attribution and Delay Attribution disputes for Newcastle DU.Liaising with the Route Performance Team regarding Delivery Unit performance queries.Point of contact for internal and external audits, including liaising with Lead Auditor.Providing research and analysis at DU and HOM level in Control Rooms and Monthly Business Reviews.SSWOP competent, giving support and advice when looking for safety improvements.Providing analytical support to business cases when looking to adopt new tools, training or processes.
