I first learned the importance of effective communication skills as a pilot in the United States Air Force; an environment where the ability to quickly identify & communicate issues to a wide variety of participants proved the margin between mission success & failure.I got so into this communications thing that I decided to write a book on it: Carpei Audientiam: Seize Your Audience, Project Competence, Instill Confidence You can Get the Job Done.I've held a number of AM positions in both the product & services industries. While at Honeywell, I was named to the President’s Club as the AM responsible for securing the largest contract in the Company’s history up to that time. More recently, as a Senior Director with Wang Global, I managed their strategic partnership with Microsoft. Currently I am the President of The Brooks Group.
