This role is to provide co-ordination of the facilities team and sub-contractors workloads thereby ensuring that the buildings and associated services are maintained to the highest standards. This includes the oversight and execution of a proactive maintenance programme along with a long term programme of asset renewal to ensure that the buildings remain fit for purpose and a great place to work.Main Duties:Direct management of budget spend circa £1.5 millionIdentify and implement improvements to service quality and cost performance of 3rd parties.Liaise with Key Stakeholders on any upcoming activities that could impact on either of the factory’s schedulesProactively identify and implement opportunities to improve hard facilities and associated equipmentManage on site activities of facilities sub-contractors and any other external contracting firms ensuring strict adherence to HSE Guidelines and SSW’sManage facilities improvement projectsCo-ordinate all projects within the facilities teamCo-ordinate the vendor assurance process for trade contractors & suppliers and collaborate with the H&S team and procurement accordinglyManage site wide support contractsManage and plan in both reactive and planned maintenance requests as required for the three members of the facilities teamConduct maintenance on the building structure, grounds and all supporting services through utilising work order requests and update CMMS accordinglyComplete any internal and external building works (erection of new meeting rooms, walls and extensions etc) in-house to reduce cost to wider businessRaise and authorise purchase orders relating to new contracts and purchasesConduct weekly fire alarm testing and report back findings to Facilities Manager, HSE department and wider businessComplete daily walk rounds / audits checking all systems and building fabric. Raise relevant work orders if required.Completing all required PTW’s

The core purpose of this role is to conduct maintenance and improvement activities on the building structure, grounds and all supporting services. This includes proactive and reactive maintenance and also includes basic mechanical and electrical technical activities alongside conducting mechanical/electrical maintenance on the building structure, grounds and all supporting services. As part of this role I also have to manage sub-contractors ensuring that they work to the correct standards of safety and quality. I also take ownership of small project work (up to £30000).
