I have 19 years' experience in many forms of union advocacy ranging from planning and executing organizing plans for new union locals in the public sector; organizational development plans focused on building a culture of organizing and activism within locals; making connections between the members I am assigned to and broader workers' struggles; and other aspects of union advocacy. I have experience working with community allies to build a union-community agenda for power.I experience in traditional representation activities such as contract negotiation, grievance processing, employment counseling, & preparing for arbitration. From January 2014 to December 2015 I was assigned as a regional political organizer with MSEA. Those duties included recruiting members for door to door canvassing, phone banking, union member voter turnout and political advocacy.
