I have metallurgical engineering responsibility for rotating structural hardware and melting/conversion of nickel and iron base rotor-quality alloys.This includes material and process selection, manufacturing process evaluation (forging, coating, surface enhancement), melting and conversion process changes, powder metallurgy, failure analysis, cost reduction support, materials testing program management (fatigue, creep, crack growth, etc), and materials-related design changes.I am also the Materials Application Engineering team leader for turboshaft and turboprop engine lines at GE-Aviation Lynn.
