The Victorian sepsis program will provide a governance framework to support and sustain improvement across two current projects and bring them together under a single subcommittee. Membership of this committee will support this work through:- contributing to a statewide quality improvement initiative to reduce sepsis related mortality- supporting a standard approach to recognising and managing sepsis in Victoria- making recommendations for optimal sepsis monitoring indicators

Behaviours of concern (such as behavioural disturbance or aggressive behaviour) puts emergency department patients at risk of causing harm to themselves, other patients, relatives, visitors or staff. There is growing concern in emergency care services about the management of these patient presentations. They are increasing in occurrence and pose significant safety risks.This initiative will:- develop guidance for managing acute behavioural disturbance and the use of restraint- adapt and publish existing training resources on managing aggression, facility design- develop a clinical pathway for patients presenting with behaviours of concern

Safer Care Victoria are partnering with Leadership Victoria to offer this mentoring opportunity for successful applicants to learn from an experienced leader to strengthen their leadership capability and achieve improved outcomes in their workplace. The course combines a structured mentoring program utilising Mentorloop and face-to-face workshops.
