Our company is a small software development provider that works on a lot of different projects with companies like Bloomberg, Pitney-Bowes and 1-800 Flowers. The projects are varied and typically involve content management portals, business integration services and document management systems that require advanced features or customizations. In some circumstances we only provide application analysis and design or audit the work of other developers. We mentor in-house development teams with less experience and help merge business goals with with developed software. We are an open source company so most of our projects involve implementing and extending systems developed in those environments so we have a lot of experience dealing with the unique challenges free software presents. We seem to have found a niche with Universities as this approach intellectual property (open licensing) fits well into grant-funded projects that mandate open access and survivability.We also have our own products developed in house, Archive Manager is a tool that helps institutions organize material special collections (books, papers and artifacts etc.) and provides advanced search and navigation for analysis.
