Responsible for manufacturing and developing processes for new optical systems going through the prototype phase of development to transfer to production. This includes input to initial design reviews leading to DFMEA of the product. Responsible for building prototypes and developing processes to later transfer to production employees. This includes work instructions, part flow, fixture design, training, etc. After a successful transfer the product remains in my portfolio for on call support.

Performed multiple functions for the quality department at Corning Fairport. As the title states my main job function was a mechanical designer for the plant. This involves designing various fixtures and job aides for all departments within the building. Along with design I was a change administrator for the electronic document repository. This covers all products within the plant. Any and all revision changes are performed by myself. Along with designing fixtures and job aides, I also provided work instructions for use of said objects where applicable. Another job function was to troubleshoot and resolve issues with discrepant materials. This required interaction with many departments within the company.
