I focused on delivering multidimension modeling solutions in Anaplan at clients as well as building Anaplan capabilities within the Information Management & Analytics practice at Slalom. At the client, we implemented a solution that drastically reduced their sales planning cycle time by making all of the necessary data points available in one system and in one view while increasing their accountability by enabling Anaplan’s native workflow to receive proper approval. Internally, I worked with practice leadership to expand the Anaplan footprint not only to other practice areas within Chicago, but across our other major markets as well.

As a business transformation consultant, I focused on migrating our clients from legacy, on-premise HCM systems to the Oracle Cloud HCM suite of applications. I worked closely with our clients, their business partners/vendors, and internal technical teams to produce more than 20 deliverables. While system configurations were an important daily task, a lot of the value I provided was guiding and advising the client to think critically of how their organization should be structured to make the application do the most for them.

My three-month project was aimed to increase the accuracy and transparency of tracking various parts and the provisioning of software throughout the procurement process for a military aircraft program. I worked with senior managers from the business and IT managers alike to facilitate workshops with the larger end user base to develop a distributed Microsoft Access based tool that allowed for consolidated and standardized aggregate reporting across three divisions.

During my internship with ArcelorMittal, I modified the definitions and business rules of specific shipping metrics that more accurately reported the company’s shipping performance. After we established the new business rules, I worked with transportation managers to develop weekly reports with the data they needed to make better decisions and with IT managers to create repeatable queries every week to update the underlying data to feed these reports. Eventually, we were able to provide the highest priority shipments each morning to help transportation managers prioritize their time and efforts to improve shipping performance in an agile manner.
