I have lived just about everywhere, but I consider myself to be from North Carolina. I will have the opportunity to retire from Law Enforcement in 2024 and, after spending most of my life in the military or on the street as a patrol officer, I look forward to going in a different direction for my second career. I recently returned to school and am finishing my degree in Business Management at East Carolina University where I expect to graduate in 2021. I am a lifelong Martial Arts student. I began my training in 1984 at the age of eleven and have, over the past thirty-plus years, trained in Kenpo, Jiu-jitsu, Kickboxing, Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and Muay Thai. I believe that personal defense is an ever-evolving art form where mastery doesn't exist, but the pursuit of mastery is a way of life. In my spare time, I enjoy woodworking, home improvement projects, and studying aviation. I plan on pursuing my private pilot's license in early 2021. I like building things and working on projects. In addition to building my own computer, I also build custom rifles and have started building my first custom pistol. Exercise is also a big part of my life. I have been an enthusiastic runner for the past thirty years and have participated in long-distance runs as well as adventure runs. My daily workouts also include weight training and swimming.
