I originally completed a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of South Australia in 2004, before undertaking roles in community development, group work and counselling, predominantly with young people, the LGBTQIA+ community and within HIV, STI and Hepatitis prevention and education. Having completed a Graduate Certificate in Tourism (Festival and Event Design and Management) in 2009 at Flinders University, I then worked in project management roles within the arts and cultural sector including WOMADelaide and the Feast Festival, the education sector (University of SA).From 2014 - 2019 I lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand, initially working as Assistant Director for a local arts outreach and international volunteer management NGO - Art Relief International / Cultural Canvas Thailand - before working for three years at Varee Chiang Mai International school, teaching drama to students from Nursery through to Year 13.I am a qualified Yoga Teacher with a passion for Yin Yoga, functional Yoga, mindfulness and meditation. I am also a part-time theatre performer and teacher, having directed, choreographed and performed in numerous shows across Australia, Thailand, Vietnam and Bali. My areas of specialty include physical theatre and dance, interactive and immersive theatre and community theatre, often working with marginalised communities, children and young people. My training includes contemporary dance, ballet, Butoh dance theatre and Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed.I have returned to Australia and have recently graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Specialist Certificate in Creativity and Health. I am now undertaking a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy with the Australian College of Applied Psychology, where I hope to develop the skills to move in to private practice combining my love of working with people and their stories, Yoga / mindfulness, and drama / theatre as part of a holistic therapeutic package.
