I love my position as a Forensic Chemistry Supervisor at NMS as it allows me to grow as a leader and chemist. NMS is a supportive environment that encourages problem-solving as well as personal and professional growth. I am a strong team player and feel that I have a lot to offer to the team. I am always up for a challenge and learning something new. I have experience with ensuring a high level of quality control/quality assurance, procedure writing, training analysts, instrument validation and maintenance, preparing standards, and team-building activities. I have been working full-time as a Forensic Drug Chemist since July 2013. During that time, I also worked in the toxicology lab for a short period to assist with acidic and neutral drug screens.Outside of my career as a forensic chemist, I am a certified yoga instructor. I teach regularly each week and I absolutely love it. Getting my 500 hr yoga certification was a challenging commitment to take on while working 40 hours a week, but I am so grateful for it. I love my students and my studio where I teach. Other creative outlets for me include cooking and creating. I love to find new recipes to cook and test, often finding new ways to make something I have made the same way for years. I occasionally like to draw and write, and have painted two murals for local yoga studios.
