Having successfully led the Capita non-core disposal programme to exit 20+ businesses over a 2-year period, I have now joined the Board of RCI Group as Chief Commercial & Legal Officer. RCI is the largest portfolio company of Literacy Capital, and provides a range of services supporting vulnerable people in society. As well as M&A, my role involves leading on wider commercial opportunities. Most recently at Capita, l was responsible for M&A activity in Capita's Portfolio Division and, in the later stages, also acted as Interim Divisional CEO. The Portfolio Division originally had c.25 individual non-core businesses. Leading a fantastic team, we successfully prepared these businesses for sale and delivered a series of disposals in a short space of time. Before the Portfolio role, I led numerous acquisitions and disposals at Capita across a range of sectors, working closely with the Capita board and executive committee.Prior to Capita, I was a corporate lawyer at Addleshaw Goddard, a large UK law firm, in their top-ranking Manchester team. Whilst there I gained extensive experience advising on the legal aspects of corporate transactions, before joining Capita to undertake a more hands-on role. I subsequently completed an Executive MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
