My primary responsibility was to ensuring the fluidity of the intermodal facility. Some of the tasks involved in my role include work listing a yard switch crew, arriving and marshalling trains, planning loading destinations and participating in daily productivity meetings to establish deadlines and priorities.

During my three years at FSD I progressed from a Rail Coordinator role to Dispatcher and finally Vessel Planner. Responsibilities as a Vessel Planner involved planning and supervising the effective discharge and loading of cargo with up to three cranes working simultaneously. In a Head Planner capacity I had responsibilities including coordinating vessel berthing, scheduling shifts and metrics reporting.

Hired as a Production Assistant, primary duties involved daily data entry of production statistics and assisting as the relief local shipper. After ten months in the entry level position I was promoted to Production Coordinator. In that role I managed inventory, ensured production flow from the mill to the customer as efficient as possible. I worked as a liaison between foremen, marketing and shipping staff.
