Dan has held numerous positions in the pipe, tube and power industries for over 40 years. Dan has been involved in copper alloys, stainless steel, nickel alloy and titanium tubing for companies including Wolverine Tube, Trent Tube, Plymouth Tube. He is currently Technical Manager at Plymouth. Dan held positions related to QA, technical service, sales and marketing, and operations management. Dan has a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois..Dan is the Chairman of the ASTM Stainless & Alloy Steel Tube Committee is also a member of several other stainless, nickel, and titanium committees. He is a member of the ASTM Board of Directors. He is also a member of NACE and on several ASME subcomittees including Ferrous Materials. Dan supports the HEI technical committees on heat exchanger design. He is the US ISO delegate for the ISO-TC 17/SC19 Subcommittee on NDE. In 2007 Dan was awarded the Award of Merit by ASTM and is now a “Fellow of the Society”. Dan has authored numerous papers on the topics of materials selection, corrosion, and testing for pipe and tube, and provides workshops for EPRI.
