Leader of the Hercules Technical Support Cell, responsible for the provision of Continuing Airworthiness Management services for New Zealand's Hercules fleet (soon to be, fleet's). Our team manage all continuing airworthiness requirements for the platform, such as configuration control, aircraft maintenance manuals, aircraft maintenance program among many others. They also lead investigation into fleet reliability issues and safety occurrences. Responsible for establishing the C-130J technical support cell, which will soon replace the C-130H fleet, through 2024 and 2025. This role includes significant project management responsibility for developing an essential aspect required to safely introduce and operate a new aircraft platform into service. Across the C-130H and C-130J Technical Support Teams are staff ranging from degree qualified engineers to vastly experienced technical civilian employees, working together to ensure continuing airworthiness throughout the aircraft's life cycle.

Quality Manager for the Directorate of Engineering and Technical Airworthiness, which represents a significant portion of promulgating technical standards for the RNZAF technical workforce. Specifically, this role include being the Chief of Independent System Monitoring for the Part 21 Design Organization – a regulatory required position, requiring a Form 4 from the New Zealand Defence Aviation Authority. Responsible to the Head of Design for ensuring the independent system monitoring function was established and operating, satisfying applicable regulatory requirements. Responsible for determining, with evidence, the adequacy of the organizations Design Assurance System.

As a Design Engineer within the Structures and Mechanical Systems Unit of the RNZAF Military Design Organization, I developed aircraft change to type design packages and non-standard repairs. Repairs or design changes were certified as compliant with the aircraft type certificate basis (generally 14 CFR Part 25/29 compliant repairs). This role involved developing structural repair designs and provision of structural advice for all RNZAF aircraft platforms. Design Certification: Developing acceptable means of compliance and engineering report publication.Design Analysis: Classical structural analysis to demonstrate airworthiness requirements are satisfied.

40 Squadron operates the C-130H(NZ) Hercules and Boeing 757-200, delivering the entirety of New Zealand Defence Force's Fixed Wing Transport capability. This role included the responsibility of ensuring the airworthiness and availability of these assets to be ready for global operations. Technical Support Hercules provides Continued Airworthiness Management services for New Zealand's C-130H(NZ) Fleet. They manage all changes to the platforms Configuration, Maintenance Manuals, Maintenance Plan and various other aircraft sustainment responsibilities. They also lead investigation into fleet reliability issues and safety occurrences. • Aircraft Platform Sustainment.Reviewing all received C-130H Airworthiness Documentation (Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Time Compliance Technical Orders, Technical data from OEMs and Safety Alerts from foreign operators). Following review, our team would develop suitable compliance or change instructions for our fleet.• Project Management.Technical Project Manager of all aircraft platform modifications. Working with various stakeholders from requirements through to fleet embodiment. Commanding a Systems Engineering approach to each project see airworthy, tested and certified designed effectively introduced to the operational environment.
