After accumulating more and more responsibilities over the past 10 years at Plex, I decided to focus on the part of my role that I get the most enjoyment from. I have shed the daily operational responsibilities to focus on working with our new and potential customers to ensure they have a full understanding of how great it is to be a Plex customer and the doors it opens up from an IT perspective. Acting more as a consultant to our customers in the sales process, evaluating their current infrastructure and current state of their IT environment. Helping them get a vision of what it would require to be a successful SaaS ERP customer. Discussing things like Internet connectivity, redundancy, bandwidth, latency, plant floor operations, barcoding, lot traceability, PLC integration, wireless networks, web services, and how data collection hardware is used with Plex on the plant floor. Then I will help them establish a budget, if needed, of what it would take to get to where they want to be with Plex.Of course this also involves working with Hardware and IT Providers to establish partnerships so that I will have options for our new customers that need additional assistance in implementing these new solutions. After spending 10 years managing the team at Plex that handled all this activity for our customers I am transitioning this activity to our newly established partner relationships. Having a blast enjoying life and all of its changes. Watching new customers embrace cloud technology never gets old.

As the director of IT & Facility Services I was responsible for customer facing IT support as well as our own internal employee support. Also acting as the primary IT sales person for selling IT Services and Hardware that can be used with our Plex application. These services are offered to ensure a smooth implementation path for our ERP/MES customers and to provide a one-stop shop for all their IT needs.The other half of my job was involved with our facility needs. As a fast growing company Plex is always working on a building out a new space for our employees to work in. Our growth rate has made this a real challenge for us. We don't just find a building, we make a fun space for our employees to enjoy their jobs and spend time with their coworkers. We value our employees over everything else and work hard to ensure they are taken care of.
