Responsible for the documented maintenance and repair of instruments used in processes throughout the facility such as fabrication, calibration, and maintenance of various types of thermocouples, calibration and maintenance of high vacuum gauges, following strict manufacturing specifications and guidelines set forth by federal government agencies.Engineering responsibilities include working closely with other members of the engineering group, traveling to sister plant location in Dunkirk, NY for emergency breakdowns to troubleshoot and fix 4000 ton press forge and rotary forge equipment, and to implement upgrades.

Manager of entire facility maintenance organization at Special Metals forge plant in Dunkirk, NY. Responsible for overseeing 4 maintenance supervisors, maintenance crew of 9 mechanical repairers, 6 electrical repairers, 3 die cell workers, 1 co-op student, and 1 crib attendant.Responsibilities include maintaining primary plant equipment such as a 4000 ton hydraulic press forge, GFM rotary forge, 21 individual reheat and homogenization furnaces and secondary equipment such as large grinders, saws, gantry and overhead cranes, various welders, pumps, cooling towers, fork trucks, and a multitude of other equipment.Took lead on furnace specification compliance with AMS2750E. Responsible for the on-time calibration of furnace control and monitoring instruments, thermocouple management, and temperature uniformity surveys.

Also heavily involved with power service upgrades and implementing power metering system.
