Daily meetings with department management to review WIP and set production priorities. Also responsible for tracking production orders throughout the production process, checking orders for balance and variation versus standards, ensuring accuracy at all phases of the operation. Assist shipping department with preparing paperwork and tickets for shipment to other plants, ensuring that goods issued meets customer requirements. Monitors department inventory (buffer, non-buffer, and WIP materials) to flag stock out and slow moving opportunities. Monitors departmental work center loading to assist department management in determining manpower requirements to meet demand. Frequent communication with service centers and customer service regarding order status, lead times, and capacity guidelines.
