Founded and led TakeAction Minnesota for 12 years, growing the organization to a multi-racial advocacy and community organizing network of dozens of coalition partners and tens of thousands of individual supporters across the state. Built and managed a highly diverse staff team of 40 operating in 3 offices. Earned a national reputation for multiple campaign successes, thoughtful long-term strategy, leadership development, innovative coalition building, fund development, and bold leadership.

Driving UP Standards Campaign

Trained community leaders as organizers in the townships of South Africa.

Trained Irish youth on issues of racial and cultural diversity. Served chicken patties to the Tamil Tigers (there to work on an interim peace agreement).

Civic engagement work in the Hmong and Latino communities; won local and state elections; expanded program work to greater MN; doubled organizational budget;
