I oversee the psychometrics and assessment editorial teams at Curriculum Associates. I am responsible for ensuring that the i-Ready assessments, such as i-Ready Diagnostic, i-Ready Standards Mastery, and i-Ready Growth Monitoring as well as our Custom print Ready assessments adhere to best practices for validity and reliability. I oversee a group of 16 people with four direct reports.

I am responsible for overseeing the psychometrics and content development on the CODiE award winning i-Ready Diagnostic:I oversee the Assessment Content Development groups as well as the Psychometric group. I help ensure that i-Ready Diagnostic assessments are valid and reliable research-based assessments that adhere to best practices;I conceptualize, plan, and budget assessment updates, as well as ensure the assessments are taken from customization to implementation;I manage internal staff and vendors to ensure research activities, such as pilot testing, embedded field testing, and independent linking or efficacy studies are implemented appropriately;and I interface with customers and internal staff regarding the psychometric properties of our digital assessments.

I supervise a staff of 10 TDSs (Test Development Specialists). The TDS Staff is responsible for the design and document creation for formative and summative assessments that are designed to help schools meet NCLB guidelines. I led the development of projects in Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Michigan, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Washington. I am responsible for the conceptualization of programs, development of text, and estimation of costs in response to requests for proposals. I lead a professional development group that is responsible for training TDSs to enhance their skills at ensuring items meet all custom construct criteria such as the principles of Universal Design. This group is also responsible for ensuring the Test Development Specialists take into account all content validity and psychometric parameters when developing assessments. Finally, I assist in recruiting, evaluating, and training freelance item writers, passage writers, and consultants.

I was responsible for overseeing a staff of test development specialists, leading large-scale projects for custom assessments, reviewing and proposing solutions for requests for proposals from states and large districts, and analyzing internal metrics for budgeting and quality purposes.

I was a lead teacher. I specialized in ACT/SAT prep courses as well as one on one tutoring for High School subjects in Math, US History, and Science. I also implemented a Math curriculum that covered grades k-12. My main responsibility was improving reading and study skills from pre-k through Adult Education.
