I have recently joined CPI books in Croydon where I am working alongside a team of 8 other Indigo operators. CPI have recently invested in a 10000 B2 Indigo Press so they needed to full fill their 7500 and 7600 positions. I am responsible for running both indigo's on 12 hour shifts and also sending files to the press. Here at CPI we are printing a wide range of publications for well known authors such as Enid Blyton, J. K. Rowling etc, most work needs to hit deadlines such as 4am in order to go out to our finishing departments or for spot uv coating, foiling or embossing.Other than running covers for books we also run a variety of variable data jobs along with commercial print which is something I have 9 years experience in.CPI also have a large lithogrpahic and print finishing department, we also make all our foil block dies in house.

South London

Since leaving Tangent On Demand I am currently working for Screaming Colour in South London at their new site. Here we have three Indigo's, a 7500, 7600 and a brand new 10000 B2 Digital Press. I am currently based within the print finishing sector running two laminators, a manual and automatic saddle stitcher, three guillotines, a PUR binder, a perfect binder and various creasing machines along with the occasional paper over board work.Screaming Colour our a 24hour business with a very quick turn over.

I was working at Tangent On Demand as a HP Indigo Operator for their newly formed nightshift, I was running a HP Indigo 5000 and a 5600 digital press, the 5600 was set up to run white inks which was all new to me as my previous company would only run the standard CMYK. I was also responsible for running a SwissQ, a Large format printer which could print on a variety of substrates such as wood, glass, foam and even handbags!After only 4 months at Tangent I was made redundant due to decline in work, there were also some very bad business decisions made which were out of my hands.
