Dynamic instructor who works domestically and internationally for local, state and federal governments in Active Shooter Incident history and response protocols. Instrumental in the development of Rescue Task Force Operations and Tactical Emergency Critical Care integration locally and nationally.Innovative trainer who works in the private sector consulting on Emergency Preparedness, working with organizations to improve situational awareness, emergency action plan development and Crisis Management Team training.

Started this consulting company to assist businesses, schools, public safety and faith-based organizations in establishing safe and effective response plans to incidents of work place violence and active shooter incidents. On Point provides innovative solutions on an individual basis. Based on current accepted industry standards the client is walked through the planning process in order to identify and create tailored plans for response to workplace violence. Clients are presented with response options that improve situational awareness and critical thinking skills under stress.Instruction also includes Response to Active Shooter and basic tactics for police.

Assumed responsibility for ACPD Active Shooter Response training program in 2003. Researched and updated current program and department policy to deliver challenging and realistic scenario-based training to 350 member agency. Recognized nationally and internationally as a SME in Active Shooter Incident History, Management and Training. Authored and conducted 3 HSEEP-compliant full scale exercises, largest involved over 600 participants. Delivered courses for NTOA and NYTOA at annual conferences.

Served on active duty from 1983-1991 before transitioning into the Army Reserves. Spent seven years as the company First Sergeant (88th MP Co.) Created and developed scenario-based leadership evaluation field exercise (Battle Stripes) which was utilized to identify promising young leaders. Deployed to Iraq/Kuwait in 2003. Served two years as a Command Sergeant Major and retired in December 2005.
