Responsible for the initial planning and implementation of Information Systems security initiatives under the Information Protection Program (IPP) and other special projects at Amgen. The security indicatives included; Application System Zoning ($4M), Guest Network Access Control ($2M), Network Remote Access Improvements ($1M) and Firewall Reporting ($.1M). Operating Systems supported: Red Hat and Fedora Linux, Apple and PC based technologies. Provided Network Operations Center with server solutions based system requirements. Developed custom reports based on the EM7 Network Management System for network and server ground and airborne assets. Sitel Corporation, Network Engineer 2000 – 2004Sitel Management requested that Nortel Engineers stabilize their Voice and data networks between the US and India. Sitel, India is an AOL Call Center that receives on average 25,000 calls per day and was experiencing 8-10% call drops at this location.• Provided the customer with a technical baseline at both locations to establish current engineering practices.• Recommendations were made to upgrade to the latest PCR release that fixed issues at the Passports that were affected by PBX error transmissions. The voice and data traffic were transmitted over different lines, causing inefficient use of • equipment, personnel and existing bandwidth. Based on projected voice and data traffic, additional E1s were added and Inverse Multiplexing ATM (IMA) was established for the reliable, continuous transmission in case transmission line(s) failure.Airfone Trial (Verizon Wireless), Network Engineer 2004 – 2005Responsible for the configuration and troubleshooting of system elements, initial concept documentation and system testing and validation for the Verizon Airfone Wireless trials. This trial was developed to prove a complex technical concept for the next generation of airborne wireless voice and data services. Network interconnectivity, WAN configuration (T1, MLPPP), end to end troubleshooting (SIP, IP, L2TP)Solutions Architect 2006 – 2008Responsible for voice/system architecture support for complex network deployments with multi-discipline service offerings to insure end-to-end technical compliance, as proposed by account sales teams and customer requirements.Recent Deployment:Solutions Architect: Air Canada Technical Service (ACTS): Provided migration strategy and design architecture for their current Voice Infrastructure (3000+ users and 7 campus locations) to a Nortel CS1000 voice/data infrastructure.

Responsible for the total update and management of this prestigious health care company. This included: redesigning of the L2/L3 infrastructure (2500, 2600), redesigning the messaging system and provide high speed access to the Internet. Designed and implemented 3 (three) remote locations and managed support personnel at same. Managed a total of 8 networking professionals in the technical fields of server and database management, desktop services that included PC based Windows and Apple applications, TCPIP and 3270 emulations, and IBM mainframe applications as required. Provided senior management with budgetary planning as well as develop company procedures, drawings and provisioning handbook.
