Recent Marine Science graduate from the University of Galway passionate about ocean preservation. Active in fostering teamwork and discipline through rugby union at University of Galway RFC and rugby league with Galway Tribes. Contributed to raising over €40,000 for the Galway Rape Crisis Centre during studies as a Coldvember team member.Practical experience gained through a significant internship at the Marine Institute, contributing to the design and writing of a book compiling 'Illustrated stories on the importance of the Ocean to communities along the Irish Atlantic Coastline.' Combining marine science expertise and storytelling to convey the ocean's vital role. Proficient in photography, which helped the visual storytelling in the book's design process.Volunteered with the EMBL for the 'Traversing European Coastlines' (TREC) expedition during the Galway survey, gaining insights into large-scale European projects and field surveying operations in marine and terrestrial environments.Later this November I am participating in the Irish Groundfish Survey with the SMART Sea School, contributing to data collection on commercially exploited fish stocks and other marine data. Seeking a role in Marine Science, eager to apply experiences and skills to contribute as a valuable, hardworking team member in laboratory or field-based scientific environments.
