Acting Color Analyst- Assessing new jobs to determine level of GCR, optimal linescreen, and any custom treatments to match customer supplied color targets.- Performing G7 calibrations on a variety of presses and printers both for certification and to create curves for new substrates and inksets.- Communicating directly with clients to clarify special color requirements and to resolve inconsistencies in provided proofs.Prepress Project Head- Creating and implementing strategies to integrate a Prinergy workflow and an Esko workflow in two separate plant environments to allow either prepress department to strip and plate work for any press in either location.- Helped draft protocols to determine which work would be best produced in which software environment.- Built matching templates and mark sets in both Prinergy and Esko for the alternate plant’s presses. Provide the complete gamut of Prepress Services wih an emphasis on color correction and retouching, including - Retouching images for content and color for clients such as Tiffany, Cole Haan, Vera Bradley, Herman Miller, and Ford- Preparing and editing client provided native files in InDesign, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, and Photoshop- Processing files in Esko PackEdge for a full range of printing options, from Baker and Sunday web and Heidelberg sheetfed presses, to Indigo and Nexpress on the digital end, and Vutek UV curable machines for oversize, including editing, reformatting, creating varnish or emboss separations and dielines, trapping, proofing, and plating- Operating and maintaining a wide range of prepress equipment, including but not limited to HP Designjets 6100 and 4000, Epson Stylus Pro 9900s with an EFI colorproof RIP, a Canon iPF8000 double-sided proofing system, Kodak approvals, Kodak, Fuji, and Knapp plate processors, and a Creo Scitex Trendsetter - Ensuring quality at all stages from anticipating print issues and making neccesary changes to cross checking files and proofs
