Duties and responsibilities were to purchase all assigned items and commodities, review MRP, inventory levels, just in time deliveries, schedule adherence, quality adherence, meet or exceed supplier certification norm, lead time reduction, cost saving/cost reduction opportunities, sourcing new items, no major non-conformances in ISO, interfacing with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Finance, and the Manufacturing Managers and Directors to review all new and existing items, maintain track of all new components from part lists, drawings, to sample approvals, to productive material for start up production on all new products.

Responsibilities were to review MRP, inventory levels, and purchase all assigned commodities on productive items, as well as maintain low inventory and low cost, find new sourcing options to maintain quality and lower costs on all assigned commodities, additional duties were the plant's MRO purchasing for all departments, again, maintaining low cost and always looking for the best source available.

Casting and Forging Inspector Class 1 Responsibilities: To inspect a wide variety of steel castings and forgings in raw and semi-machined conditions, test for relevant defects and verify dimensional conformance to specifications, comply with a variety of specifications and standards for in-plant and customer requirements utilizing Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant inspections.
