At the Army's Combined Logistics Officer Advanced Course, I was the first Marine to graduate #1 and the first Marine to earn the Combat Logistician designation.Upon becoming a Logistics Officer I was the CSSG-3 S-3 Officer, Detachment Commander of two Combat Service Support Detachments supporting infantry regiment/combined arms exercises in Hawaii, and CSSG-3 S-4. I was then the Regiment S-4 Officer of the Recruit Training Regiment at MCRD San Diego, CA; HQ Company Commander and Squadron XO for the Marine Wing Support Squadron in Iwakuni, Japan; and Logistics Officer for the I MEF Training and Education Group in Camp Pendleton, CA, supporting MEU-level special operations training through the US Southwest. My final position before retirement was as the Project Manager for a few dozen Marine Corps Reserve construction projects throughout the US.
