School Psychologist
CurrentThrough the Response to Intervention (RTI) tiered service delivery model, design and implement academic and behavior interventions for whole class, small groups or individual students, who are struggling in the classroom/school setting, to promote positive outcomes for students. Currently working with students grades PreK through 12. Job responsibilities include: • Working within the Response to Intervention (RTI) framework, collaborating with school faculty, parents and related service personnel, to design and implement behaviorally based academic and behavior intervention(s) at the universal, targeted, and intensive levels. • Complete Functional Behavior Assessments for students exhibiting behavioral difficulties in the school setting.• Designing, implementing, and monitoring behavior plans for students in need of behavioral support in school• Serve as a liaison between school and outside agencies that students may be involved with, or receiving services through various local agencies.• Administering of Intelligence Assessments, Academic Achievement Assessments, and Behavior Rating Scales for evaluation purposes• Involved with the evaluation and identification of students in need of Special Education Services• Involved in the re-evaluation of students currently receiving SpecialEducation Services• Directly involved in development of Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and/or 504 plans for students with disabilities.
