First and foremost finding workplacmentsfor the apprentices and trainees was the most important and rewarding function of this role.Stakeholder engagement was a critical component to this role as to the nature of the position. Selling our services to industry and providing high quality apprentices and trainees to our Host Employers is what the business is first and foremost. Explaining the benefits of why the Group Training model will work for a particular business. Another part to this role was explaining our rates to prospective Host Employers. What this would show in a break down format is the difference between employing a apprentice / trainee themselves or employing a apprentice/trainee from AGA. I found it very important to research the prospective Host Employer’s company before going to speak to them about how we could be of a benefit to their company with our services. I found out early in this role that this was a very important part of the process. Conflict resolution was another facet of the role that I had to ensure that the Host Employer, Apprentice or Trainee and Apprenticeships Group Australia where working together on for the best outcome for everyone involved. From a business point of view within the Field Officer role business development and debt collecting where functions that also needed to be auctioned upon on a regular basis. Business Development was a key part as building up our database of Host Employers was very important. When I started in this role there was a lot to work on within the plumbing department. I was instrumental in developing the plumbing training center at Morwell along with the develop of the plumbing training package across Apprenticeships Group Australia.This role was extremely satisfying in regards to the outcome of the apprentices that were coming through the training facility at Morwell.
