About Dan Spinelli

I’m a graduate student and aspiring scholar interested in studying ethnic policy in China, cross-strait relations, and authoritarianism. I’m now an Asian Studies master’s student at Georgetown and Program Specialist on the China team at the United States Institute of Peace. I previously worked as a journalist in Washington, D.C. as a national security reporter with Mother Jones. My other work has appeared in Politico, Politico Magazine, Forbes, Slate, HuffPost, High Country News, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
