Carry out on site inspections to check compliance with the 'permit to break ground' (PTBG) procedure, also providing guidance and support when required for both buried and overhead assets. Review all permits relating to breaking ground within the project.Responsible for the management and maintenance of the online live permit to break ground platform. Review as built information provided by contractors ensuring the live services model is updated as close to real time as possible.Review permit to break ground requests and associated documentation from permit requesters, to include a review of:o Competency of Service Locator o Calibration certificates for utility locating tools (CAT & Genny).o Ensure there is an accepted risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) documentation.o Checks to seek evidence that utility owners permissions and guidance has been sought regarding the scope of works as detailed in RAMS- this will include both buried services and overhead services.o Drawings have been provided with clearly defined excavation boundaries, such as a fence line, a trench plan or co-ordinates.o A suitable and recent PAS 128 Level B survey along with the statutory record searches has been undertaken.The Services Coordinator will add additional controls required on the permit to fall in line with safe excavation techniques, HSG47, asset owner controls and GS6. -

Will provide guidance and support as required that covers not only buried services but overhead services as well. Approve all permits relating to breaking ground within the project.Responsible for the management and maintenance of the live permit to break ground register and the cancellation and close out of all completed/expired permits upon receipt from site. Along with the CAD Technician, review and compile as built information provided by Site Managers to update existing records.Review permit to break ground requests and associated documentation from permit requester, confirming with the nominated person requesting the permit to break ground the full extent of the intended activity.
