Services Coordinator
CurrentAs Service Coordinator on the HS2, Old Oak Common Station project, is to ensure a safe system of work is in place, approved and followed when undertaking excavation works or when working in the vicinity of overhead lines.Ensure that necessary information regarding services is available, from updating record searches regularly to ensuring the correct level of survey has been carried out before breaking ground. Carry out on site inspections to check compliance with the 'permit to break ground' (PTBG) procedure, also providing guidance and support when required for both buried and overhead assets. Review all permits relating to breaking ground within the project.Responsible for the management and maintenance of the online live permit to break ground platform. Review as built information provided by contractors ensuring the live services model is updated as close to real time as possible.Review permit to break ground requests and associated documentation from permit requesters, to include a review of:o Competency of Service Locator o Calibration certificates for utility locating tools (CAT & Genny).o Ensure there is an accepted risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) documentation.o Checks to seek evidence that utility owners permissions and guidance has been sought regarding the scope of works as detailed in RAMS- this will include both buried services and overhead services.o Drawings have been provided with clearly defined excavation boundaries, such as a fence line, a trench plan or co-ordinates.o A suitable and recent PAS 128 Level B survey along with the statutory record searches has been undertaken.The Services Coordinator will add additional controls required on the permit to fall in line with safe excavation techniques, HSG47, asset owner controls and GS6.
