I worked as in intern in a qualification group responsible for testing and qualifying Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems. I used Python to develop a tool for qualification engineers to estimate the runtime of automated test scripts to help schedule tests. The tool was required to parse control structures, such as subroutines, branches, and loops, as well as track variable values in order to calculate how many times each loops would run to produce the most accurate time estimate. I added a command-line based frontend and wrote a user manual for the qualification engineers to use the tool and understand all options.

FRI is a three-semester program that exposes first-year students to real-world research problems and focuses on teamwork and collaboration with faculty and students. I am in the Image and Acoustic Signal Analysis stream, in which my team is focusing on human-robot interaction (HRI). We are exploring how robots can engage people in ways which are both useful and feel natural.

My experience included using Intuit Lacerte to handle client data and organizing different types of forms. Later, I reviewed the networking hardware for the potential of cloud expansion and replaced old hardware to increase network speeds.
