About Dan Read

I am a Software Engineer with more than 9 years of experience, 5 of those in game development. My specialty is Artificial Intelligence. I have a proven track record of creating behaviour that is both effective and believable, through efficient heuristics and novel algorithms. My approach is heavily informed by Cognitive Systems theory, but I am equally familiar with traditional AI methods. Besides AI, I've had the opportunity to work in many different areas such as graphics, UI, scripting, audio, tools and more, and have proven that I can step into those roles when required. I'm passionate about the user experience, whether it's for games or other types of applications.
