Dan currently heads up a company managing multiple web properties and apps, and is also a partner in a commercial and residential real estate investment group.Previously Dan served as a board member of Tutor Technologies A learning platform, connecting teachers and students for virtual and in-person scheduled learning sessions, and providing programmatic and AI driven teaching tools.Dan was the Vice President of Sales, North America at Rovi Corp. (formerly Macrovision), managing the North American sales team in the U.S. and Canada, driving high-growth sales in Rovi’s solutions for video software platforms, and a host of cloud based data and analytics applications for video service providers.Prior to Macrovision acquiring Gemstar TV Guide, Dan was the Vice President of Business Development and Product Management. He managed video software product platforms and companion applications, and worked closely with business partners to develop new opportunities.Gemstar TV Guide acquired Aptiv Digital, Inc., where Dan was the Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Product Management, and Marketing. Aptiv was a startup software company that was spun out of Pioneer Digital Technologies, a subsidiary of Pioneer Electronics. Dan built and led a new sales, product, and marketing team from the ground up, and successfully expanded the customer footprint from the U.S. market to over 20 countries, completely displacing the competition in Latin America and Caribbean.While serving as the Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Pioneer Digital Technologies, Dan was integral in the planning stages for the launch of Aptiv Digital, Inc. He also established and managed the Compass partner developer program, which enabled the video program guide to serve as a platform for over 20 partner applications available to video service providers and millions of consumers, driving royalty and services revenue, and establishing the platform as a viable long-term network for advanced services.Before his previous role with Pioneer Digital Technologies, Dan was Director of Marketing for Pioneer Electronics for their digital video set-top division, and for Pioneer Digital Technologies’ video software solutions. Prior to his roles at Pioneer, Dan was the Director of Marketing for Pico Macom, Inc., a cable and satellite equipment manufacturer of an extensive line of RF components and headend equipment.Dan is also a prolific inventor with multiple patents granted and pending.
