After graduating from Hood College with a degree in Psychology, I spent 12 wonderful years in both direct service and management at the Mental Health Association of Frederick County as part of their crisis hotline/2-1-1 program. During my time there I, along with others on our staff, implemented iCarol software as our platform to manage and schedule our volunteers and staff, document information from our client interactions, and report on our activities. This technology revolutionized the way we were able to do business and gave us a competitive edge enabling us to save hundreds of hours of time, reduce costs, and respond better to the needs of our community, volunteers, and funders.I applied for a position at iCarol so that I could help other not-for-profit staff around the world as they navigate and utilize technology in service to their communities. After splitting my time between our Support and Business Development teams, I fully transitioned to the Business Development Team in 2015. Now I spend my time developing content that helps bring new organizations into the iCarol family. I also plan and manage communications to our current and prospective customers through email, social media, webinars, and the iCarol blog.
