I had my first job when I was 13 and I've loved work since then. I found my first passion in bakeries, which intensified when I started selling cakes and treats to friends, family, and classmates. What I loved about baking is not the science, nor the artistry- what I loved was creating something that would bring joy.I don't bake professionally anymore, but I bring that same passion to everything I do, whether professionally, personally, or in my volunteer roles.At RhythmQ, I help people solve hidden challenges. At face value, we provide software that streamlines award application management. But behind that is a more interesting conversation, a look beyond the day-to-day operations of an organization, and into the larger goals.What I love about my role here is the people I get to talk to on a day-to-day basis. I work with STEM organizations and just LOVE learning about what they're up to. How cool is it that I get to learn about programs at a nuclear lab one day, and heart surgery fellowships the next? (pretty freaking cool!)As the account executive for our STEM clients, I:• Consult new clients on streamlining their process• Work with existing clients to ensure they're set up for success• Collaborate with my team to bring the best and brightest into the same rooms• Immerse myself in the association world to understand the challenges• Believe in good relationshipsWhen I'm not working, you can find me rock climbing or mountain biking in the beautiful Canadian Rockies! And if I'm not there… then I'm probably cooking with my headphones on and singing along to some 90s country way too loudly.
