One of the great, great grand-children of the late Charles Dana Gibson, creator of the "Gibson Girl", I have always attributed my creativity to him. After taking my first photography class in high school, I realized that it was the perfect way to channel my creativity. From the smells to the science of watching a picture come to surface from blank white paper, I developed a love for photography. I found comfort in playing with chemicals to give images distorted looks and playing with the time and the aperture until I got the exact image I wanted.​My passion grew in college after getting accepted into the photography program at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY and later attending the University of Connecticut’s School of Fine Arts. I graduated in 2005 with my BFA in Photography. As a student, I spent countless hours out shooting and in the dark room. The majority of my work was self-portraiture, focusing on images of places from my childhood, my family, or areas I loved and felt at peace with. ​After college I took a hiatus from the art and photography world. The need to have a "real job" or lack of inspiration (call it what you will) was consuming me; however, in the last few years I have been nothing but inspired. The announcement of my second nephew sparked a new desire in me. I want to capture the moments that mean the most: moms and dads expecting, couples in love laughing and later saying "I do", families spending time with each other, and places that give me feelings of peace or intrigue. ​With that said, my journey begins again. I am excited to make these long lasting memories with you and your family and look forward to creating that perfect piece of art to hang on your bare wall.
