Founded by veterinarian Dr. Kwane Stewart, Project Street Vet is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit public charity that provides free, non-judgmental veterinary care, treatment, and support to the pets and people experiencing homelessness and/or housing vulnerability. Project Street Vet provides various public outreach programs for pet parents navigating a housing crisis. Developed all board, staff, program, volunteer, financial, fundraising, operational, and marketing infrastructures. Helped grow Project Street Vet from a one veterinarian led operation to multi-vet, multi-city organization assisting hundreds of pets and people per year. Eager to continue to grow the team and make the biggest impact possible.

FACE Foundation (Foundation for Animal Care and Education), is a San Diego based nonprofit that provides financial grants for animal owners who are unable to afford the cost of their pet’s emergency or critical care. I had served in various roles within the organization prior to leaving for a year to live out of state. I was then recommended to return to FACE Foundation as their Executive Director. In this position, I served as the key management leader for all operations of the organization including: administration, staff, HR, programs, finances, strategic planning, board relations, donor relations, marketing, events and fundraising. Additionally, I was responsible for developing the annual budget, fundraising plan and impact reporting. Worked closely with the Board of Directors on policy decisions, financial decisions, board development, board recruitment, strategic planning, committee initiatives and mission impact. I served as the organization’s main spokesperson to the media and general public, and in 2021 was invited to have a voting seat on FACE’s Board of Directors. During my time in this role, I was able to help the organization reach highest year of income in its history, initiated new community partnerships to increase program impact resulting in highest year of pets assisted, and lead board development initiatives resulting in more active and engaged Board Members and Committees. Successfully lead organization through a pandemic year, adapting fundraising, programs, operating, administrative and financial strategies along the way.

Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center by Ethos was one of O'ahu's (Hawaii) only specialty and emergency hospitals on island. Due to increased patient and client volume, I joined their team as their first Referral Coordinator to assist with outside veterinarian referrals to both the specialty and emergency departments.In this position, I developed and implemented standard operating procedures for specialty hospital’s newly created position. Met one-on-one with 60+ veterinary hospitals throughout O'ahu to help form and foster positive relationships. Coordinated and hosted quarterly Continuing Education Lectures for local veterinarians. Served as a main point of contact for challenging clients and streamlined patient flow.

Managed all FACE annual fundraising events, including: Bags & Baubles, FACE’s Invitational Golf Tournament, Doggie Dash 5K, FACE’s 1st Animaltarian Awards, and FACE’s 10 Year Celebration: A Screening of “The Champions.” Largest events hosted upwards of 500 guests and required 100+ volunteers to complete. Responsible for volunteer management, public relations, and marketing. Additionally, managed all of FACE’s community programs including: Save-a-Life Program, Dental Clinics, Youth Humane Education Program, Volunteer Program, Intern Program, Closets for a Cause and created the ongoing Community Outreach Program.

Tremendously expanded FACE’s Youth Humane Education Program by updating curriculum, recruiting outside partners, obtaining grant funding, and executing lessons on a monthly basis. In addition, served as main Grants Coordinator, assisting the public and veterinary hospitals in submitting applications for FACE grants. Managed FACE’s social media outlets and effectively increased online presence and communications. Assisted with FACE special events and public relations, including successful sponsorship outreach.

Assisted all major departments including: sales, human resources, recruitment, production, product, and finance.

Administered tests to disabled UCSB students in need of special testing arrangements and provided them with copies of extensive in-class notes.

Conducted research and editorial services towards the publication of a local history booklet. Assisted with online museum marketing efforts, event planning, and provided overall support for the museum.
