I am a passionate and experienced educator with a M.A. in Educational Theatre as well as a B.A. in psychology and theatre. Whether I am in the classroom teaching drama to elementary, middle and high school students or adults, I am always searching for new ways to connect with students and bring the love of theater to all ages. I enjoy creating rigorous yet engaging curricula that includes Common Core State Standards. I have been involved with theatre arts for the entirety of my career and have done everything from playwriting to directing to costume and stage design. It is incredibly fulfilling to bring all aspects of theater to a variety of populations. In addition to teaching theater in the classroom, I coach students privately for auditions and to improve their performance skills. I have also taught and tutored students in a variety of subjects including math, language arts and essay writing for standardized tests including the SAT. I have done much freelance writing and have written and edited a wide variety of online content including digital marketing campaigns, college essays, articles, human resources forms, film scripts, recipes, games, quizzes and more. I was also a writer-producer at Nickelodeon and Girls Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls. I approach each role with strong communication skills, knowledge of content, empathy, adaptability, and enthusiasm.
