Director Of Information Technology - Agent Solutions & User Experience
Current
Manager - Digital Optimization & User Experience
The Digital Optimization team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the two primary software products in our organization. Though these two products, our agents and customers transact the large majority of interactions, including registration/signup, payment portals, CRM, and account management. During my first 10 months, I have completely reorganized our work intake and flow for Digital Optimization (via Azure DevOps) resulting in significant improvements in visibility to business owners and stakeholders, and tighter, more consistent delivery times. These improvements have also spurred a more rigorous requirements gathering process, and dissemination of key data to prioritization groups which has helped to focus on business value over perceived urgency. A fundamental goal of the changes I’ve made has been to move my group of software developers from a collection of talented engineers to a thriving team, able to pair and mob on projects, and to support each other from Sprint 0 through final demo and signoff. Part of my role also consists of leading the annual Sarbanes-Oxley audit for our annuities software. As the primary strategist for our fledgling User Experience program, I meet weekly with business owners to review progress and new areas of focus, and direct our team of UX designers and researchers to help prioritize their work, and take advantage of areas previously untouched that would thrive under a purposeful UX approach.

Manager Of Software Development And Business Intelligence
Leading the Business Intelligence, Software Development, and Product Management teams, serving executive and department leadership by providing information on performance throughout the organization. Our BI team utilizes SQL, Tableau, and other tools to observe our current state, look at what our history is telling us, and determine possible avenues of short and long term success. The Product Management and Software Development groups take an Agile approach to product development with Scrum, teaming over 30 people across four product teams. As new ideas are generated at a department or executive level, we use an established ideation process to determine impact on workflow and cost against the background of established strategic themes. Since 2014, we have successfully released over 15 software products to our members and staff. Our User Interface/User Experience team shapes our new and existing products (internal and member-facing) to account for quality, consistent design standards, and involving our users directly in product improvement.

Artist roster included DC Talk, Audio Adrenaline, Geoff Moore & The Distance, Rebecca St. James, Code of Ethics, Big Tent Revival, Holy Soldier, Serene & Pearl, Dana Key, Grammatrain, and Iona.
Announcer (Dj)
At WCIC, I served as the DJ on weeknights from 6-Midnight. I also worked to produce spots (non-commercial) and radio programs, as well as a yearly fundraiser.
