I do the initial financial modeling and screening for thermal power projects as well as plant configuration and costing. I have strong analytical skills in determining if a project makes economic sense. Skilled with Thermflow heat balance software, project cost estimating, and O&M costs. I can optimize a plant for a particular commercial environment, sell the power, develop and manage the PPA, manage the permitting, manage the EPC, and manage the plant operations.

At NuCoastal I supported the completion of a 300MW GTCC plant that utilized incomplete grey market equipment. In particular, I worked with the Vogt TA to identify the parts missing on the HRSG so we could order them in time for project completion. I also worked on other aspects of the project, but HRSG completion was the primary responsibility.

Sold power plant construction. Learned cost estimating and developed numerous contacts in the power industry.

Worked as a Bank's engineer for 8 years performing due diligence work on power plants and other projects that banks were going to loan money to on a project finance basis. I sold and managed the engagements. My expertise is in financial analysis of projects as well as commercial risk assessment. I managed engineers who looked at the technical aspects of the project and made sure the project would provide the cash flow necessary to repay the debt. Have traveled to Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Canada, Venezuela, Panama, Nicaragua, Australia, Singapore, Philippines, and India for due diligence assignment.

Was hired to provide maintenance planning for new 2x Frame 6B cogen plant. Improved plant economics by helping management understand the incremental cash expense (fuel) vs the accounting expense so that we ran the units to export 20 MW of power rather than not export power. We made an additional $1.6MM/yr exporting excess power. Ran small plant projects and provided economic justification.Company was sold to Huntsman.
